here is my submission for the amazing book is not on fire! i didn’t get an email from them so i think it’s safe to assume that they didn’t pick it, but i wanted to post it here anyway to show you all because i’m genuinely really proud of it.
i really wanted to focus on their friendship because that’s what the book is about. let me explain the drawing a little bit:
in the front is dan and phil circa 2015, because the book is coming out this year and i figured the most recent version of themselves should be front and center. to their left, the three drawings from the bottom going up are them in 2009 (filming the first ever phil is not on fire), them in 2010 (just goofing off), and them in 2011 (filming the super amazing project - you can see “internet news” on the paper phil is holding). behind them is the silhouette of the manchester eye to represent their manchester days.
to the right of the 2011 drawing is them in 2012 (filming halloween baking). below is them in 2013 (doing the radio show), and the last one on the bottom right is them in 2014 (filming something for the gaming channel). behind them is the silhouette of big ben to represent their london days.
the whole thing is supposed to act as sort of a timeline of their friendship! (haha, timeline of their friendship…big ben is there…big ben is a clock…excuse me forever…) i tried to get as many milestones/achievements from each year that i could because these nerds sure have accomplished a lot.
sorry for the super long caption! danisnotonfire and amazingphil, i hope that even though you didn’t choose this for the book you love it as much as i do :o)
